This retreat day will focus on moving towards a more mindful approach to life. It will especially help you develop a meditation practice that helps deepen your heart qualities and also manage the unconscious mind-chatter that influences our mood (for better or worse) without us being aware that how we feel is connected to the content of our thought processes.
Through meditations, visualisations, reflection, writing and poetry you will begin to develop a way to connect to the qualities of a beautiful mind which arise from our hearts, including peace, kindness, compassion and joy.
This retreat day is for you if you wish to start meditating and you have no experience of this; or if you are a meditator and you wish to improve the quality of your meditation practice; or simply if you want a day of peace and quiet for yourself!
Delia Taylor-Brook is a UKCP registered Psychotherapist and a Mindfulness Teacher trained at the British Mindfulness Academy. She has been teaching meditation for over 10 years and is a long-term practicing meditator herself.
Your place will be reserved on receipt of 50% of the workshop fee of £80, ie £40 on booking and the balance of £40 to be paid by 22 September. There are a maximum of 12 places available and to ensure that the retreat goes ahead at Asthall, Delia will need a minimum of 8 people. In the event that there are fewer than 8, the event will either be postponed to another date or she will offer it online at a reduced fee (the online fee will be dependent on how many wish to attend). If you do not want one of these alternative options, your payment will be refunded your in full.
