Axe Throwing

Have fun throwing axes in the beautiful location of Asthall Manor meadow. Throwing outdoors has an added sense of adventure with a natural soundtrack, and the sound of the axes hitting the targets is immensely satisfying.

Fully hosted session 

A Fat Squirrel Outdoor team member will host your whole session. Everyone will have practise throws before playing a series of games and challenges. The host will keep everyone involved and having fun. Our axes are lightweight making them easy for most people to throw.

Included in this experience

  • 1 hour of axe throwing (sessions for larger groups will last longer)
  • Whole session hosted by an experienced Fat Squirrel Outdoor instructor
  • Throwers must be aged 8 and over
  • Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult
  • Under 3’s are free
  • No open footwear – sturdy boots are best
  • Layer up and bring waterproofs
  • Well behaved dogs, kept on a lead, are welcome in the meadow only. We thank you for clearing up after your dog.

Bring with you

  • Waterproof jackets
  • Hats and gloves
  • Layer up your clothing – you may get muddy
  • Torches for evening sessions – we have LED spotlights for night time throwing
  • Sturdy boots or wellies are best (no sandals for axe throwing!)
