The Art of Positive Living – Recharging your inner battery

Helio Coaching & Training held a transformative one-day retreat designed to shift you from “constant doing” to purposeful being. Co-founders Emma Saxby and Jennifer Souter (who leads our on-site yoga sessions) invited you to join them in our historic Ballroom and gardens here at Asthall Manor, to explore the science of happiness and mental resilience.

In the spirit of “curiosity and honest questions,” they examine the mental patterns (Saboteurs) that drain your energy and learn to activate the “Sage Mind” to boost your clarity and joy. It was more than a workshop; it was a “thinking retreat”.

What happened at the retreat:

  • Audit your “Battery Levels”: Map your personal journey and identify what fuels or depletes your happiness.
  • Engage the Senses: Participate in mind-body reset practices, including Qi Gong and grounding awareness, utilising all your senses amidst the Manor’s natural light
  • Reflect in Nature: Use the “uneven ground and open water” of the gardens for walking reflections to gain perspective on your life pathway.
  • Included a seasonal vegetarian lunch and refreshments.
