Kitchen Garden – Nature & Environment Book Club

13th July - 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Come and join us at the second meeting of the Asthall Manor Kitchen Garden Nature & Environment Book Club.

At our first meeting we discussed Dave Goulson’s, Silent Earth and decided the titles for July & November. We are pleased to announce that in July we will be reading and discussing Tony Juniper’s recent book, Just Earth. How a fairer world will save the planet. We can’t fight the climate and nature crises without addressing the ever-widening gaps between the rich and poor, the powerful and the weak. Drawing upon more than 40 years of experience in research, practical work, campaigning and advocacy, combined with interviews with globally renowned experts, in Just Earth Tony Juniper reveals the system shifts needed to achieve real, lasting change.

On Sunday 9th November we will be discussing Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Braiding Sweetgrass; Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teaching of Plants.

Both events are now bookable via the What’s On page of the Asthall Manor website,

There is a nominal fee of £3 for each event which includes tea, coffee & biscuits. Any funds raised will go towards delivering the aims of Asthall Wild CIC.

Please do consider using public transport or bicycle to get here and if you’re coming by car, please park in the tree-lined avenue nearby. For more travel information click here.
